Nadam institute performs for kinkini
Nadam is a Kathak institute headed by Nandani and Murali.
They are a happy married couple who dance and also teach dance.
Kathak is something i always wanted to and want to learn, its just that there is this time which is not letting me to learn.
Nadam started their performance with a Ganesha Vandana- It was a composition of stuthi on lord Nataraja moving on to Ganesha. It was a duet performance by the couple themselves. Their foot work was amazing and chemistry was a burst out.
They moved on to theen taal- This piece consisted of 16 beats in three stages and three speeds where the explained the speed in which the water flows. It also included the swaal jawab where 2 people do and the rest of the troupe copy the same. this was done excellently i was baffled by seeing the foot work and co ordination.
Varsha- Depiction of monsoon, thunder,Rain drops, water spells and Dancing of Peacock. This item was mind blowing excellent piece, well depicted conveyed clearly to the audience.
Ruseela Madhav- How can any one forget this person? Yes! it is him the cutest lord Krishna. this was a complete abhinaya piece by the couple. The chemistry was wonderful here. I can say this was the best item out of all because it interacted well with the audience and i was mesmerized floating into the world of krishna.
Tharana- Its usually the last item presented in a Kathak program. This item depicts the end of a show. In this item the co dancers and the couple came in together and persented the item very nicely. Though Nandini and Murali are the teachers they never seemed like a teacher they looked like one among the students.
After watching the show it makes me even more interested to learn kathak its so graceful and nice.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is a television reality show and the Indian version of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing and ABC's Dancing with the Stars
Concept
Sony Entertainment Television brings Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa with new celebrities and well-known faces to perform with professional dance partners on a highly competitive stage. The show is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions in India.
The show's format is taken from the Strictly Come Dancing show on BBC One in UK, which has been a huge success in over 30 countries like America, Australia, New Zealand, and Italy, where it is known as Dancing with the Stars. However, the Indian version has been extensively remodelled to appeal to the country's viewers.[1]
The dances are typically more exuberant than on its sister programmes around the world, owing to India's unique Bollywood traditions. Also because of the strong Bollywood approach, India is the only country to not have live music with an in-house band. The show is also pre-recorded, unlike the UK's Strictly Come Dancing and other spin-offs.[1] All the ballroom and Latin dances are performed as Bollywood-themed showdances (US: freestyles) rather than with strict 'syllabus' ballroom or Latin technique.

Message from the CEO Nitin Vaidya
Zee TV is known for creating platforms like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and India’s Best that allows a common man to exhibit his talent. Where other channels are focusing on celebrity based reality shows, Zee TV goes back to its ethos, this time capturing a different form of art, Dance. We have selected the best dancing talent from the nook and corner of the country. These are common people who are passionate about dancing. That’s the kind of ardent worship towards this art form that we were in search of. Getting Mithun Da to be the grand master was a step towards ensuring that the final judgment lies in the hands of someone who is tantamount to dance. This format was a big hit on Zee Network’s regional channels and we are hopeful that the legacy continues on the flagship channel, Zee TV, as well. Our title sponsor for the show is Lux.
